Our School

Sir Wilfrid Laurier officially opened its doors on May 22, 1991. The school currently serves students from Kindergarten through Grade 8 and maintains an average enrollment of approximately 820 learners.

At Sir Wilfrid Laurier Elementary School (SWL) our students, staff, and community work together to achieve an optimal learning environment where the SWL community feels safe and supported.  Below are SWL's Core Values (ROAR for SWL Lions) that best represent our school community.

RESPECT

Students will be honest, treat others the way they want to be treated, and listen  to others.   Students will follow school and classroom rules to ensure everyone feels safe and help to keep the school clean and welcoming.

OPENHEARTED

Students are kind, compassionate and understanding to everyone.  Students will offer help and assistance to others and look for ways to make others feel good about themselves.

ACADEMICS

Students will stay engaged in the learning process and try their best through challenges.  Students will seek help from educators and peers when unsure.

RESPONSIBILITY

Students will do their best to look after themselves and their belongings and take an active role their education.  Students will work hard in class and participate fully in the school community.

Let's keep ROARING for positivity and care!
